Google ships conversational agents inside the ad unit

Google's Gemini "Business Agent for Leads" now lives inside the ad itself, trained on the advertiser's own site to qualify prospects 24/7, rolling out in beta in India alongside Ask Advisor across Ads, Analytics and Merchant Center. Campaign execution is quietly ceasing to be a human skill.

Why it matters: When a platform folds setup and optimization into an agent, the moat moves up to strategy, measurement and AI-search visibility - the layer that sits on top of the platforms.

A top US media owner rebuilds its entire ad stack around agents

Warner Bros. Discovery is collapsing its siloed ad units onto one AWS-built agentic platform where self-optimizing agents run planning, forecasting, pacing and closed-loop measurement for buyers and sellers, with unified planning due in Q3. Sell-side is going agent-native, not just the buy-side.

Why it matters: Buyers will increasingly transact agent-to-agent with premium CTV and linear inventory, and teams need to define what governed autonomy means for their own spend.

Adobe hands programmatic bidding to custom algorithms

Adobe Advertising launched a Custom Algorithms product that lets AI run the campaign through agentic plug-ins and outcome-based controls, a clean break from the manual TubeMogul-era workflow. The DSP is betting operators want to set outcomes, not pull levers.

Why it matters: As bid-level control disappears into algorithms, the operator's value becomes choosing the right outcome, feed and guardrails - strategy work, not button-pushing.

Adform opens 800+ platform capabilities to any AI agent

Adform exposed its full platform through an MCP server so external AI agents can operate it directly, and is backing IAB Tech Lab's AAMP 2.0 to standardize agent-to-agent buying. The interoperability layer for agentic advertising is being poured in the open.

Why it matters: MCP as the connective tissue for ad platforms validates the agentic thesis - the winners will orchestrate across open endpoints, not live inside one vendor's UI.
